Stars Step Out in Bold Fashion Choices at Academy Museum Gala
From daring ensembles to questionable choices, the Academy Museum Gala red carpet saw a mix of hits and misses.
A-list celebrities gathered for the sixth annual Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, with many opting for glamorous attire. The event honored Taylor Swift, Charlize Theron, Colman Domingo, and director John Carpenter.
While many stars embraced the glamour of the evening, some ensembles stood out for less fashionable reasons. Pamela Anderson, 59, drew attention with a distinctive outfit that included an unbuttoned off-white blouse paired with a pastel mint green skirt featuring a long train and a bow at the waist. She accessorized with a neon green clutch and styled her blonde hair in voluminous curls.
Inde Navarrette also made a memorable appearance in a nude-colored dress with a corset bodice adorned with black circular details. The dress featured a balloon-like material around the upper thighs, transitioning into a layered fabric that ended below the ankles. Navarrette completed her look with black closed-toed pumps, a black clutch, a sleek chignon, and silver jewelry.
Naomi Ackie wore a strapless, vibrant purple gown with a loose-fitting bodice and midriff. The dress cascaded into a full skirt with a short train. Ackie opted for minimal accessories, adding small silver earrings and sweeping her hair into an updo.
Cole Escola presented a black satin ensemble characterized by dramatic caped fabric and a large bow embellishment at the neckline. The look was complemented by green dangling earrings and bold makeup, including smoky eyeshadow and red lipstick.
Laura Linney appeared in a fitted brown dress with a folded fringe detail around the arms and neckline. She paired the dress with closed-toed black heels and eschewed flashy jewelry.
