Stars Shine at First-Ever Airbnb.org Gala in Los Angeles
Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, Serena Williams, and Sienna Miller led a constellation of stars at the nonprofit's inaugural fundraising event.
The inaugural Airbnb.org Gala brought a galaxy of stars to Los Angeles on Wednesday, with Charlize Theron, Jessica Alba, Serena Williams, and Sienna Miller among the notable attendees.
Theron, 51, captured attention in a striking emerald green gown featuring long fringe that cascaded towards the floor. The dress's halter neckline and lustrous green waistband accentuated her figure, complemented by black open-toe heels adorned with large puff balls.
The event marked a significant milestone for Airbnb.org, the nonprofit arm of the popular home-sharing platform. Unlike its for-profit counterpart, Airbnb.org focuses on providing free emergency housing to individuals and families facing crises, such as those impacted by natural disasters or medical emergencies.
Joining Theron on the red carpet was Airbnb co-founder Brian Chesky, who opted for a classic black tuxedo. Jessica Alba presented an image of classical elegance in a black, single-shoulder gown ruched at the midriff. Her look was accessorized with standard black pumps and diamond earrings.
Serena Williams showcased her athletic physique in a sequined leopard-print dress with a low-cut top and thick straps, paired with pointed black heels. Her ensemble was accessorized with a high-value Audemars Piguet watch, with secondary market prices ranging from $400,000 to $600,000.
Sienna Miller, dressed in a flowing white satin gown with a single shoulder and intricate folds radiating from her hips, presented a striking contrast to Alba's ensemble. Her outfit was minimally accessorized with diamond earrings.
Other notable guests included Demi Lovato, who wore a black suit with a topless jacket, and Zoe Saldana, who sported an oversized black tuxedo. Cynthia Erivo impressed in a sleeveless black gown, and Kelly Rowland donned a white lace dress embellished with pearls and beads.
Matthew McConaughey attended with his wife Camila Alves, who wore a sequined burgundy halter dress. Charli XCX stood out in an olive-green gown with black feather trim, while Tracee Ross Ellis wore a sleeveless beige dress paired with large earrings. La La Anthony shimmered in a brown sequined dress with a satin corset midriff.
Younger stars also made an appearance, with Charli D'Amelio arriving in a dark plaid dress and Quenlin Blackwell in a black gown revealing her abs and lace bra. Madelyn Cline opted for a black spaghetti-strap dress with silver floral designs, and Joshua Jackson wore a pale gray suit jacket.
Filmmaker Ava DuVernay chose a plunging black dress with semi-sheer sleeves and notably wore her silvery Rolex Day-Date watch over her sleeve. The luxury timepiece retails for $49,600 to $64,100, depending on the precious metal.
Other attendees included Jaden Smith, who blended casual and formal wear with flared jeans and a black tuxedo jacket; Elizabeth Banks in a lime-green sack dress; Katie Couric in a three-piece black pinstripe suit; and Will.i.am in a tuxedo with a canary-yellow mock turtleneck.
The gala celebrated Airbnb.org's mission to provide crucial housing support to those in need, bringing together a diverse group of celebrities to raise awareness and funds for its initiatives.
