Stars Honor Dolly Parton at 'I Will Always Love You' Tribute Concert
Reba McEntire, Katy Perry, and Carrie Underwood were among the many artists who paid homage to the country music legend.
Reba McEntire led a star-studded tribute concert for the late icon Dolly Parton, titled 'CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton.' The event, held at Belmont University's Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville on Wednesday evening, featured performances from numerous artists across country, roots, and bluegrass music.
Among the performers and attendees were Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, Kristin Chenoweth, and Carly Pearce. The concert aimed to honor Parton's legacy, with musicians performing covers of her extensive catalog.
McEntire, 71, made a fashion statement upon arrival in a vibrant velvet green blazer, later changing into a white dress with fringed sleeves for her performance. Perry, 41, opted for a silk slip dress with orange and brown patterns, styling her hair in messy beach waves. Underwood, 43, wore a princess-like white gown with a voluminous tulle skirt and intricate embroidery.
Kelsea Ballerini appeared in an ethereal white gown featuring a low back and dramatic sleeve details before changing into a sequined and fringed dress. Lainey Wilson honored Parton with a stunning pink number and her signature cowboy hat, also giving a speech and performing a duet. Ella Langley paid homage with a champagne gold minidress adorned with sparkles and a pink butterfly detail.
The two-hour television special aired live on ABC and Disney+, with proceeds benefiting Parton's Imagination Library. The event concluded with all performers gathering onstage to sing Parton's iconic ballad in front of a black-and-white photograph of the music legend.
Other artists who contributed to the tribute included Zac Brown, who performed in a classic dark outfit with a cowboy hat, and Lady A. Kristin Chenoweth and Carly Pearce channeled Parton's style in sparkling attire before performing a duet in fringe-covered minidresses and stilettos.
