Speculation Mounts Over Maya Jama and King Kenny's 'Flirtation' on Celebrity Traitors

Lingering glances, affectionate embraces, and a revealing comment on "Celebrity Traitors" have fueled speculation among viewers regarding a potential flirtation between host Maya Jama and contestant King Kenny. The pair's interactions on the show, where they are both playing the roles of Traitors, have drawn significant attention.

During one segment, King Kenny, 29, mused about Jama's potential role as a Traitor, stating, "If Maya is a Traitor, I will never look at her in the same way." This remark, met with laughter from fellow contestants, suggested to some that the growing closeness between Jama, 32, and Kenny might not be solely for the cameras.

Further fueling these theories, when Jama chose Kenny as her partner for a challenge, he responded with "My lovely darling." The pair have also been observed in close embraces within the castle, most notably when Kenny accepted an offer to join Jama and James Acaster as a Traitor. His greeting for Jama was notably warmer than his acknowledgment of Acaster.

Despite the on-screen speculation, neither Jama nor Kenny has publicly suggested their relationship extends beyond friendship. However, the timing of these observations coincides with reports that Jama entered the castle newly single. She recently ended an 18-month relationship with Manchester City footballer Ruben Dias, 29. Sources indicated that filming the show helped Jama, with one stating it "put a smile back on" her face following the amicable split.

Jama has a history of public relationships, including a four-year romance with rapper Stormzy, 33, which ended in 2019. They briefly rekindled their relationship in 2023 before parting ways again the following year.

King Kenny, whose real name is Kenny Oghenovo Ojuederie, has remained largely private about his personal life. However, he recently released a song titled "Don't Let Me Down," which includes the lyric, "Murdering in plain sight, it’s me and you they’re calling." While the intention behind these lyrics remains open to interpretation, they have added another layer to the ongoing discussion about his dynamic with Jama on the show.
