Sir Tom Jones Reschedules US Concerts Due to Illness
The veteran singer has postponed shows in Los Angeles and San Diego after being diagnosed with a severe case of the flu.
Sir Tom Jones has postponed two upcoming concerts in California after falling ill with a "bad case of the flu." The singer, 86, announced Monday that his planned shows in Los Angeles and San Diego would be rescheduled, following medical advice.
In an Instagram post, Jones stated, "Following doctor's advice, I unfortunately have to reschedule tonight's show in Los Angeles and tomorrow's show in San Diego." He added, "I'm truly sorry for any inconvenience caused. I look forward to seeing you all soon."
The San Diego concert is now slated for November 3, and the Los Angeles show for November 4. All tickets purchased for the original dates will remain valid. Attendees unable to make the new dates are advised to contact their point of purchase for a refund.
Jones, known for hits like "It's Not Unusual" and "What's New Pussycat?", has been on his Come Gather Round world tour. He recently shared news that ITV had decided not to include him in the coaching panel for "The Voice UK," a show he has been part of in various capacities since its 2012 debut.
With a career spanning over six decades, Sir Tom has achieved three UK number one singles and four chart-topping albums. His accolades include a Grammy, two Brit Awards, and an Ivor Novello, in addition to being knighted by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2006 for his contributions to music.
