Shelved 'Coyote vs. Acme' Now Available for Digital Purchase and Rental
The Looney Tunes film, famously shelved as a tax write-off by Warner Bros. Discovery, has found a new home on video-on-demand platforms.
The animated-live action hybrid film "Coyote vs. Acme," which was previously shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery, is now available for purchase and rental on digital platforms. The movie, originally slated for a tax write-off, was acquired by Ketchup Entertainment and officially hit theaters on August 28.
"Coyote vs. Acme" is currently streaming on video-on-demand (VOD) services, including Amazon Prime Video, as of September 29. It can be bought for $24.99 or rented for $19.99. A free Amazon account is required to purchase the film, while rental options provide a 30-day window to start watching and 48 hours of viewing access once play begins.
The film stars Will Forte as a lawyer representing Wile E. Coyote in a lawsuit against the Acme Corporation for faulty products. Lana Condor and John Cena also feature in the human cast. Voice actors include Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, and Jim Cummings, reprising iconic Looney Tunes characters.
According to entertainment critic Johnny Oleksinski, "Coyote vs. Acme" received a positive review, earning 3.5 out of 4 stars. He praised the film's humor and called its comedy "easily among the top ‘Looney Tunes’ movies ever."
A physical release on Blu-ray, 4K, and DVD is planned, though a specific release date has not yet been announced. Preorders are available for release day delivery.
