Shania Twain is set to perform an intimate, one-night-only concert at Racket NYC on Thursday, July 23, to celebrate the release of her seventh studio album, 'Little Miss Twain.' The album is scheduled to be released the following day.
The venue, Racket NYC, has a capacity of approximately 650 to 700 fans, offering an up-close experience with the five-time Grammy winner. As of publication, general admission tickets were available starting at $143, including fees, via SeatGeek. A promo code, NYPOST10, offers $10 off purchases over $250 for first-time SeatGeek users.
Twain, 61, described the album as a "homage to my roots, my youth and my mother" on Instagram. Ahead of the album's release, she has shared three singles: "Dirty Rosie," "Faded Blue Jeans" featuring Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, and the title track "Little Miss Twain" with Tanya Tucker.
She recently debuted "Little Miss Twain" and "Faded Blue Jeans" at Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern on July 17, a venue she had aspired to perform at while growing up. According to Set List FM, her ten-song setlist included these new tracks alongside popular hits such as "You're Still the One," "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!," and "That Don't Impress Me Much."
Reports from the Toronto show indicated that Twain enjoyed the intimate setting, with her performance highlighting the strength of her vocals. Critics noted that any concerns about her voice following past illness and throat surgery were dispelled by her consistently powerful delivery.
The singles released prior to the album showcase different facets of Twain's artistry. "Dirty Rosie" is described as a feel-good anthem with playful lyrics, featuring a notable slowed-down section in the middle. The title track, "Little Miss Twain," is a more contemplative ballad, while "Faded Blue Jeans" is a bluesy, rollicking track with a smoky feel.
This New York City performance marks Twain's return to the city since her 'Queen of Me' show at Madison Square Garden in 2023.
