Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Celebrate First Wedding Anniversary Amidst Family Planning Discussions

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 27. Gomez, 34, shared a black-and-white photo on her Instagram Story from their wedding day, writing "Happy anniversary my love. I love you to the moon and back." Blanco, a record producer, is 38.
The couple, who have been together for over three years, began dating in the summer of 2023. They announced their engagement in December 2024 and were married the following year in an intimate ceremony at a converted palm tree farm in Santa Barbara, California. Lil Dicky officiated the ceremony, and Gomez was supported by her friend Taylor Swift.
This milestone follows Gomez's recent public statements about her desire to have children. While speaking at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City, she expressed plans to "eventually" start a family with Blanco.
These remarks come two years after Gomez revealed in a Vanity Fair interview that she cannot carry children due to medical reasons. She explained that she has "a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby's in jeopardy," a fact she had to "grieve for a while."
Despite the challenges, Gomez remains committed to motherhood, stating that while her path may look different, she is open to surrogacy or adoption. "It'll be mine. It'll be my baby," she affirmed, expressing gratitude for the options available to those who wish to become parents.
Earlier in September, Gomez sold one of her homes in Encino, California, for $5.4 million. She had purchased the property in 2020 for $4.89 million and later listed it for $6.49 million in May. Gomez now resides in a Beverly Hills mansion she purchased for $35 million.
