Sam Fender to Headline Glastonbury Festival Next Year
British musician Sam Fender has been confirmed as a headliner for next year's Glastonbury Festival, marking a significant career milestone.
Thousands of music fans who have secured tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival face an anxious wait to discover the full lineup. However, The Mail on Sunday has learned that British singer Sam Fender will be one of the headline performers.
The official list of artists for the June event will not be confirmed until spring, but Fender is slated to perform on the festival's main Pyramid Stage.
Fender, 32, has experienced a highly successful year, with his duet "Rein Me In" with Olivia Dean breaking records for the longest-running No. 1 single in UK music history, holding the top spot for 23 weeks. A source close to the artist stated that Fender is "over the moon" about the major career achievement and has been sharing the news with neighbors.
The five-time Brit Award winner has existing connections with previous Glastonbury performers, including Dean and his friend Lewis Capaldi, both of whom performed at the festival in 2025. Glastonbury observed one of its planned fallow years in 2026 to allow the Worthy Farm land to recover.
An industry insider noted that Lewis Capaldi has been advocating for Fender to receive a headline slot, having invited him on stage at his own concerts to increase his visibility.
Fender previously played the Pyramid Stage in 2022, after a last-minute cancellation due to illness three years prior. Tickets for the 2027 festival, which has a capacity of 210,000, sold out in 42 minutes on the preceding Sunday, even before any performers were announced.
