Sam Fender to Headline Glastonbury Festival in 2027
The British singer is confirmed as a main stage act for the iconic festival, with tickets already sold out.
Sam Fender is slated to headline the Glastonbury Festival in June 2027, according to an announcement from The Mail on Sunday. The official lineup for the event, which requires attendees to pay at least £400, will not be confirmed until the spring.
Fender, a 32-year-old musician from North Shields, has had a successful period, highlighted by his duet with Olivia Dean, "Rein Me In," which became the longest-running No. 1 single in UK music history, holding the top spot for 23 weeks. A source close to the artist indicated his excitement about the major career milestone.
The five-time Brit Award winner has connections with other artists who have performed at Glastonbury, including Lewis Capaldi, who played the festival in 2025. The year 2026 marked a fallow year for Glastonbury, allowing the land at Worthy Farm to recover.
Fender previously performed on the Pyramid Stage in 2022, after a prior planned appearance was canceled due to illness. Tickets for the 2027 festival, which has a capacity of 210,000, sold out in 42 minutes on the preceding Sunday, despite no performers having been announced at that time.
