Sam Fender Criticizes High Ticket Prices Ahead of 2027 Tour

Musician Sam Fender has publicly voiced his disapproval of anticipated ticket prices for his upcoming Proper Massive Stadium Tour, scheduled for summer 2027. Fender announced the tour earlier this week, with dates planned for Newcastle, Cardiff, London, Edinburgh, Dublin, and Manchester.

Responding to social media posts detailing potential ticket costs, Fender stated on Instagram that he was "not happy" with the reported figures. "They're getting changed," he wrote, explaining that the prices had become inflated beyond his expectations and should only increase in relation to the operational costs of staging the shows.

Fender also addressed concerns about tiered standing sections, stating that standing tickets would not be divided into front and back tiers for this tour. He expressed bewilderment at the normalization of such practices, saying, "I have no idea how this was normalised in gigs... it won't be happening on this tour."

Tickets are slated to go on general sale on Friday at 9:30 AM GMT, with a pre-sale beginning at the same time on Wednesday.

Fender is not the first artist to express reservations about the cost of concert tickets. Earlier this year, Zara Larsson echoed fan sentiments that her own ticket prices were too high, noting that while she lacked direct control at the time, she hoped for more influence in the future.
