S Club Announces UK Reunion Tour
Original members Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, and Jo O’Meara to embark on nationwide tour, sparking new music speculation.
The British pop group S Club has announced a reunion tour across the United Kingdom for next year. Original members Bradley McIntosh, Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, and Jo O’Meara are set to perform a series of shows nationwide.
The tour is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 8, in Glasgow, with stops planned in major cities including Manchester and Nottingham. The group will perform two shows at The O2 in London before concluding the tour in Dublin on Tuesday, October 26.
Speculation is also circulating that the band may release new music, following their separation from founder Simon Fuller after 28 years. A source told The Sun that the group has a new management team and ambitious plans for the live shows, aiming to make them their most successful yet. "There is also talk of recording new music to continue to build on their legacy. This is S Club back for good," the source added.
S Club, formerly known as S Club 7, first rose to fame in 1998. Their hits include "Bring It All Back," "S Club Party," "Reach," and "Never Had a Dream Come True." The group achieved success in the US with "Never Had a Dream Come True."
The band had reunited in 2023 to mark their 25th anniversary. However, shortly after the announcement, member Paul Cattermole died unexpectedly at the age of 46 from heart failure. The band proceeded with their anniversary tour, renamed "The Good Times Tour," and released their first new single in over two decades, "These Are the Days," in memory of Cattermole.
Hannah Spearritt will not be participating in the upcoming UK tour. She was reportedly excluded from the 2023 tour after a disagreement with other band members regarding an interview she gave about Cattermole's death.
The group's initial formation in 1998 was orchestrated by music mogul Simon Fuller. S Club broke up in 2003, after which Fuller launched a spin-off project, S Club Juniors. Some members pursued solo careers, with Rachel Stevens notably becoming a runner-up on "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2008.
