Ross Kemp Sparks Hilarity on 'Celebrity Traitors' Debut

The premiere of Celebrity Traitors delivered immediate entertainment as actor Ross Kemp's heightened suspicion led him to accuse two fellow contestants of attempting to murder him within the first episode.

During the show's initial mission, which aired Thursday, Kemp became visibly anxious. After contestant Bella Ramsey placed a sailor's cap on his head, Kemp immediately questioned if she had "just murdered me." Later, while traveling back to the castle, he confided his fears to other "Faithful" players.

His paranoia continued to surface when Leigh-Anne Pinnock brushed his arm at the bar. Kemp reacted by exclaiming, "Oh my god no, I just rubbed my arms because I was cold," to which Kemp retorted, "I'm so paranoid, can you not get it!"

These reactions quickly drew amusement from viewers on social media, with many describing Kemp as "obsessed with paranoid ross kemp" and finding his quick accusations highly entertaining. Comments highlighted his rapid suspicion, noting that he believed he was murdered twice in a short period, once by the hat placement and again by Pinnock's touch.

Meanwhile, hosts Maya Jama and Richard E. Grant were revealed as the season's first "Traitors." Grant, in particular, made a significant early slip-up by admitting he was a Traitor to fellow contestant Joe Lycett shortly after being selected.

The two Traitors were then tasked with choosing a third player to join them, while the remaining candidate would be "murdered." They were presented with coffins containing James Acaster and Amol Rajan, who both pleaded their case to become the third Traitor. Acaster argued for his perceived innocence, while Rajan emphasized his lack of "heat" on him and his ability to "take the heat off" Grant. The decision on who would join Jama and Grant, and who would be eliminated, was pending.

The show, a celebrity edition of the popular BBC series, began with host Claudia Winkleman arriving dramatically in a coffin. She reminded the celebrity contestants that their status would not protect them within the game, advising them to be accustomed to the "fickle" and "backstabbing" nature of showbusiness.
