Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Excited for Kids to Watch Victoria's Secret Return with Dad
The supermodel shared her anticipation for her children to see her runway comeback, highlighting a new perspective on her career.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley expressed her excitement for her children to watch her return to the Victoria's Secret runway, noting that they would view it over breakfast with their father, Jason Statham.
The British model, 39, walked in her sixth Victoria's Secret show on Sunday night, marking a return after a 16-year absence. She had previously appeared in five consecutive shows from 2006 to 2010.
For her comeback, Huntington-Whiteley wore several white lingerie ensembles, one paired with a fur coat and another with angel wings. She told Vogue that the moment felt "full-circle" and that her children watching it with Statham would make it "all the more special."
Huntington-Whiteley and Statham have two children, Jack, nine, and Isabella, four. The couple, engaged since 2016, has previously stated that marriage is "not a major priority."
Discussing her preparation for the show, Huntington-Whiteley emphasized consistency in her training. "It's really about consistency because I'm a gym girl – I'm always training and taking care of myself," she said. "I look at my body and I have so much appreciation for having had two children. For me, it's really about feeling strong and fit, as opposed to thinking about a number on the scales or on a measuring tape. Competence builds confidence."
Huntington-Whiteley has spoken in the past about her comfort level walking in the show, telling GQ, "When you work for Victoria's Secret you have to know how to use your body. I am not a shy person when it comes to doing things for my job. I've never done anything that makes me feel uncomfortable."
Her return coincided with other highlights of the annual event, including Kylie Jenner's runway debut. Jenner, 29, made history by modeling the $50 million diamond-encrusted Fantasy Bra, becoming the first non-Victoria's Secret Angel to wear the coveted piece. The tradition of the Fantasy Bra began in 1996 with Claudia Schiffer.
Huntington-Whiteley has also reflected on rejection in the modeling industry, viewing it as an opportunity for growth rather than failure. She recounted a painful experience of being sent home from a job early in her career but now chooses to seek opportunities where she feels "embraced."
