Rod Stewart Announces "The Final Encore Tour," His Last Rock Tour

Rod Stewart has announced "The Final Encore Tour," confirming that next year will mark his last-ever rock and roll tour. The decision comes after the iconic singer experienced a series of health setbacks in recent years.
Stewart shared the news on social media, stating, "Well, here we go… one last time! Come and see me on my The Final Encore Tour for one more round of rock ’n’ roll. I’m really looking forward to it." He later clarified in a video message to fans, "Ladies and gentlemen, after much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce next year will be my last tour ever, ever, ever. I’m not retiring, but this will be the last rock and roll tour."
Fans responded with messages of gratitude and support in the comments of his announcement. "Sir Rod, After 53 years and nearly 300 shows across four continents, I am heartbroken that I just have one more year of your AMAZING live shows. Can’t wait to see ALL of them. Stewart's health challenges have included battles with strep throat, COVID-19, and the flu. In 2026, a sinus infection and acute upper respiratory infection leading to laryngitis caused further show cancellations. The singer also underwent a coronary stent procedure in August, which led to the cancellation of the remainder of his "One Last Time Tour." At the time, his team stated that doctors were pleased with his recovery and that he would take four weeks to recuperate before returning to the stage.
His wife, Penny Lancaster, recently elaborated on the demanding nature of Stewart's performances and why doctors recommended he take time off after his heart procedure. She described his pre-show routine, which includes extensive warm-ups for both his legs and voice, and noted that he often runs onto the stage and maintains high energy for the entire duration of his shows. Lancaster explained that this intensity led doctors to advise a four-week break for his full recovery.
Despite the health concerns, Stewart has reportedly already returned to the gym, with Lancaster and his team working to ensure he adheres to medical advice leading up to his farewell tour.
