Riley Green Planned to Frame Houses, Not Become Country Star

Country music star Riley Green has revealed that his initial plan after leaving Jacksonville State University was to pursue a career in construction, not music.
Green, who played quarterback in college, told Billboard that he took a semester off to help his father with framing houses following his father's back surgery. During this time, he began making music on weekends, but he did not return to his studies.
"I assumed I was going to frame houses for the rest of my life and play a little music on the side," Green stated. He added that he thought he would "grow a long great ponytail," a style he still might adopt.
Despite not initially aiming for a music career, Green has become a prominent figure in country music. His latest album, "That's Just Me," was released recently. The singer's journey highlights how unforeseen circumstances can lead to life-changing career paths.
