Prince William is following in the footsteps of other royals by guest editing an upcoming issue of Country Life Magazine. The Prince of Wales has spent the last six months working on the 300-page commemorative edition, which is set to be published on November 11.

It is understood that William, who now oversees vast agricultural lands as Duke of Cornwall, intends to focus the issue on rural mental health and environmental protection. A Kensington Palace spokesperson stated, ‘The Prince of Wales has a longstanding passion for the countryside and the vital role it plays in the nation's life, culture and wellbeing. His guest editorship of Country Life reflects a desire to celebrate the people, places and innovative stewardship helping to secure its future for generations to come.’

The magazine issue will reveal insights from William's public role as well as more personal aspects of his life, including his fondness for a pint of cider with ice. This editorial role follows in the tradition of other royals; King Charles has guest edited the magazine twice, for his 65th and 70th birthdays, while Princess Anne and Queen Camilla have also taken on the role for their respective birthdays.
