Prime Video Renews 'Reacher' Spinoff 'Neagley' for Season 2
The series, starring Maria Sten, achieved significant viewership in its initial run.

Prime Video has greenlit a second season for "Neagley," a spinoff of its popular series "Reacher." The renewal comes just over two weeks after the first season premiered.
"Neagley" centers on Frances Neagley, portrayed by Maria Sten, a private investigator operating in Chicago. The series follows her quest for justice after a friend's suspicious death. In her pursuit, Neagley collaborates with Detective Hudson “Rats” Riley (Greyston Holt), Renee Birdwhistle (Adeline Rudolph), and Keno (Jasper Jones). Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman are also part of the cast, with Alan Ritchson reprising his role as Reacher for guest appearances.
The "Neagley" series expands the "Reacher" universe, which is based on Lee Child's book series. Sten, discussing the project prior to its premiere, expressed a sense of duty to both the existing television adaptation and Child's novels. "I feel a tremendous amount of responsibility and pressure to get it right and not disappoint the fans, of course," she stated.
Holt noted that while his character, along with those of Rudolph and Jones, are original creations not present in the books, the cast aimed to "honor the tone and the 'Reacher' world." He added that the actors had "a little bit of creative license to make them completely our own, but with still honoring the world."
Season 1 of "Neagley" garnered 40 million viewers globally within its first 13 days on Prime Video, positioning it as the fourth most-viewed series debut in the platform's history. "Neagley" Season 1 is currently available for streaming on Prime Video.
