'Practical Magic 2' Arrives on Digital Platforms

“Practical Magic 2,” the anticipated sequel to the 1998 film, has officially landed on digital video-on-demand (VOD) platforms, including Prime Video. The movie, which premiered in theaters on September 10, became available for digital purchase and rental on October 13.

Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman reprise their roles as witch sisters Sally and Gillian Owens, who are tasked with confronting a dark curse that threatens their family. Joining them in the sequel are Joey King and Maisie Williams, portraying Sally’s daughters. Stockard Channing and Dianne Wiest also return as aunts Franny and Jet.

New cast members include Lee Pace as Professor Ian Wright, Xolo Maridueña as Kylie’s love interest Gideon, Solly McLeod as warlock Tom Lockhard, and Katy Wix as Paula.

The film is based on Alice Hoffman’s 2021 novel, “The Book of Magic,” which serves as a continuation of the story from the original “Practical Magic” author.

Viewers can rent “Practical Magic 2” for $19.99 or purchase it for $24.99 through platforms like Prime Video. A digital purchase requires an Amazon account, and rentals come with a 30-day window to start watching and a 48-hour viewing period once playback begins. A digital bundle that includes both “Practical Magic” and “Practical Magic 2” is also available for $29.99.

For those who prefer physical media, “Practical Magic 2” will be released on Blu-ray, 4K, and DVD on December 1. Preorders for the physical releases are currently open.
