Podcast Host Brittany Hockley Announces Pregnancy After Fertility Struggles
Hockley revealed her pregnancy to co-host Laura Byrne through a prank letter, sharing the emotional news after previously discussing her fertility challenges.
Podcast host Brittany Hockley has announced she is expecting her first child with her husband, Swiss soccer player Benjamin Siegrist. Hockley revealed the news to her Life Uncut podcast co-host Laura Byrne during a recent episode in a surprise prank. Hockley presented Byrne with a fake listener letter that read, "After spending my first few months listening to your voices every single day, I can't wait to spend the next six months growing and join the Life Uncut family as the newest tiny member." As Byrne reacted with confusion, Siegrist entered the room and showered Byrne with confetti, at which point the prank became clear.
Byrne became emotional upon realizing Hockley was pregnant. "We've had a newest Lifer listening for a few months now. That's why my boobs are so big!" Hockley shared. Byrne responded with tears of joy, expressing happiness for her friend. Hockley admitted it had been a "hardest secret" to keep.
The pregnancy announcement follows Hockley's public discussion of her fertility struggles. The podcast host had previously addressed criticism and questions from followers about remaining childfree after her marriage. In July, Hockley posted on social media, stating, "I can't fall pregnant." She clarified that it was "not for lack of trying" and that infertility had consumed her life and thoughts.
Hockley and Siegrist, married in June 2025 in Bali, shared their pregnancy news on Instagram with a video of Siegrist cradling Hockley's baby bump. The caption announced, "Can't believe we are saying this, but it's time for the next chapter… Baby squid is on its way!" Hockley also recently announced her relocation to Italy to live with her husband.
