Pitbull has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps. The record was established during his headline performance at the BST Hyde Park concert on Friday night, where 22,141 fans participated.

Fans were required to adhere to strict rules to qualify for the record, including securely wearing the bald cap with their hair tucked underneath and remaining in a designated area for a full minute. BBC Radio 1's Greg James was present to announce the achievement, also sporting a bald cap.

Armando Christian Perez, known professionally as Pitbull, expressed his elation at the event, thanking his fans, whom he affectionately calls "baldies." "Wow, we did it baldies! Tell you what, I'm speechless at this point," Pitbull stated. "But I can tell you this much, I say it to the baldies all the time at the shows, 'When you put on them bald caps, you know you're about to have the time of your life!' And now you're officially in the Guinness Book of World Records. Dale!"

This particular Guinness World Record was a newly established category, meaning there were no previous benchmarks to surpass.

Pittbull's performance was preceded by a set from singer Kesha. The BST Hyde Park festival is set to conclude with performances by Lewis Capaldi on Saturday and Sunday.
