Penelope Cruz radiated red carpet glamour in a striking plunging black gown at the San Sebastian Film Festival on Sunday.
The 52-year-old actress has been actively promoting multiple films across Europe in recent months. For her latest appearance, Cruz donned a black ball gown for the screening of "La Bola Negra."
In the Spanish-language film, which translates to "The Black Ball," Cruz plays a cabaret entertainer performing for Nationalist troops. The epic is directed by Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
This appearance follows a busy period for Cruz, who attended the Venice Film Festival and then Toronto to promote "La Bola Negra" and Florian Zeller's "Bunker."
"Bunker" recently received a lengthy standing ovation, lasting 15 and a half minutes, at the Venice Film Festival, nearly matching the festival's record. The film, a psychological thriller, marks the ninth collaboration between Cruz and her husband, Javier Bardem. Bardem stars as architect Miguel, whose marriage to Sofia (Cruz) is tested when he takes on a morally ambiguous project to build a survivalist bunker for a tech billionaire, played by Paul Dano. Sofia also begins working with an American novelist, portrayed by Patrick Schwarzenegger.
"Bunker" has garnered positive reviews, including a four-star rating from the Daily Mail's Brian Viner.
Additionally, Cruz stars as Piña in Olivia Wilde's 2026 sex comedy-drama "The Invite." The film centers on a couple, Joe (Seth Rogen) and Angela (Olivia Wilde), whose marriage is strained. They extend a dinner invitation to their charismatic and sexually uninhibited neighbors, Piña (Cruz) and Hawk (Edward Norton).
