Pamela Anderson Launches New Limited-Edition Lip Balm Inspired by Her Garden
The "Baywatch" icon's Sonsie skincare brand introduces the Wild Groundcherry Basic Balm, featuring a subtle shimmer and a non-sticky formula.
Pamela Anderson has expanded her Sonsie skincare line with a new limited-edition product: the Wild Groundcherry Basic Balm. This latest offering is inspired by a wild fruit Anderson discovered in her own garden, reflecting her mindful approach to beauty.
The balm provides a subtle, warm golden shimmer without using glitter or microplastics. According to Anderson, the formula was developed to avoid the sticky texture often associated with lip gloss, something she found bothersome throughout her career.
"In photo shoots and things that I’ve done, all the way from the ‘80s and ‘90s, I couldn’t stand lip gloss,” she told People. “The stickiness of it… I could just feel it on my lips. That’s why this is such a unique product. It had to be super hydrating to give you the effect without feeling like you’ve got stuff on your lips that’s irritating you.”
The Wild Groundcherry Basic Balm is a limited release, and Anderson noted that once the stock is depleted, the specific formulation will be discontinued. "We only made so many, and then those will be gone," she told The Zoe Report. "Then I’ll just have to find something else… I feel like a little fairy in my garden. I always say I’m Sonsie’s garden fairy godmother."
This launch follows Anderson's previous limited-edition lip product, a rhubarb balm released in November. Sonsie also emphasizes ingredient transparency, disclosing all fragrance components rather than using a general "fragrance" label. The brand is described as a reflection of love and Anderson's commitment to cruelty-free products.
