Olivia Attwood has publicly thanked her close friends for their crucial support during a difficult period following her split from footballer Bradley Dack. Attwood, 35, ended her marriage to Dack in January, subsequently accusing him of multiple instances of infidelity and expressing feelings of being "a f*****g idiot."
In a tribute shared on her Instagram Stories, Attwood reposted a video with the caption, "And for my friends/siblings who quite literally kept me alive this year." This sentiment highlights the significant role her social circle played during the aftermath of her marital breakdown.
Amidst this personal turmoil, Attwood has also offered glimpses into her new relationship with longtime friend Pete Wicks, 37. Their romance, which had been the subject of speculation for months, was officially acknowledged by Wicks on Instagram last week. He shared a series of photographs from a trip to Ibiza, marking the first time he has publicly showcased a relationship online.
Speaking on his podcast, "Staying Relevant," Wicks described his reunion with Attwood after a period of separation due to her filming commitments abroad. "I hadn't seen Liv for two and a half weeks, so went to see Liv," he stated. "It was wonderful to see her... we had a fabulous time, I have really hurt my back, because I was backflipping off boats, we went for lovely dinners, we went to clubs, we drank a lot. It was magical, is probably the best way to describe it."
Wicks' co-host, Sam Thompson, indicated he had been aware of the relationship for some time and expressed happiness for Wicks. Attwood responded to Wicks' podcast appearance with teary-eyed emojis on Instagram, playfully remarking, "That’s what happens when you have two and a half weeks no back flipping."
Attwood had previously suggested that Wicks should be the one to make their relationship public on social media. "I wouldn't post first," she stated, indicating a desire to protect herself as the relationship developed. Shortly after this, Wicks made their relationship Instagram official.
Attwood also shared an anecdote about receiving 100 red roses, initially unsure if they were for her, before her companion Mark humorously questioned the intention. She confirmed she "has a person" but is currently managing the relationship cautiously. "I'm keeping it very close to my chest at the moment while I know what it is," she explained. "Just in the way that I don't send the first good morning text. I'm not f***ing hard launching anyone first."
Rumors of Attwood and Wicks' romance first surfaced last summer when intimate pictures of them on a boat during a trip to Ibiza emerged. At the time, Attwood was still married to Dack. The couple were later seen sharing affectionate moments during a holiday in St. Tropez, including public displays of affection by a pool.
Wicks' Instagram post, captioned "I guess someone has to go first… IBIZA," confirmed their status. Attwood expressed that she is in a better place and intends to discuss the relationship further on her podcast, "Olivia's House," when she feels ready to articulate her feelings.
