Nicole Scherzinger Performs After Boiling Water Burn
The singer shared images of her leg injuries and revealed her professional approach to performing.
Nicole Scherzinger has shared an update on severe burns she sustained from boiling water, revealing how she prepares to perform on stage despite her injuries. The Pussycat Dolls singer, 48, posted images of the scars on her leg more than a week after the accident occurred, which happened just an hour before she was scheduled to perform in Düsseldorf.
Scherzinger posted glamorous photos of herself after professional hair and makeup, accompanied by the caption, 'What they see vs. what they don't see...'. She received a supportive message from American singer Gloria Gaynor, who called her a 'warrior.'
Despite the burns and blisters on her leg, Scherzinger has maintained a professional demeanor, emphasizing that 'the show must go on.' She joined bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt for the UK and Ireland leg of their PCD Forever tour in Dublin. During the Monday night gig, Scherzinger appeared unfazed, even drinking a pint of Guinness on stage between performances.
Last Sunday, Scherzinger had initially shared a picture of her burns and blisters the day after the incident, stating, 'Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set - but the show must go on.'
The Pussycat Dolls' comeback tour has faced challenges, including the cancellation of their entire US and Canadian leg due to poor ticket sales. The band announced the cancellation of 33 dates after arenas were reportedly 80% empty, even after ticket prices were reduced. In a statement, the group cited a difficult decision to cancel all but one North American date, while their UK and European dates were proceeding as planned with strong fan response.
The reunion itself has been marked by controversy, with the exclusion of founding members Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton. Bachar and Sutta have stated they were not asked to participate, with Thornton describing the reunion as a 'cash grab.' The trio kicked off their tour in September, with dates in Copenhagen, Paris, Warsaw, and the UK.
