Nicole Scherzinger Dazzles Onstage Despite Recent Burn Injury

Nicole Scherzinger showcased a vibrant red outfit while posing backstage before a Pussycat Dolls tour performance in Newcastle on Friday night, shortly after sustaining a significant burn injury.

The 48-year-old singer highlighted her figure in a red and nude corset ensemble. Her accessories included large diamond earrings, and her dark hair was styled in voluminous curls.

The performance followed an incident earlier in the week where Scherzinger shared an update on burns she acquired from boiling water during her European tour. She posted an image revealing blisters on her leg, which occurred approximately one hour before her scheduled performance in Düsseldorf, Germany, on September 26.

Earlier in the week, while preparing for a show in Dublin, Scherzinger shared behind-the-scenes photos of her hair and makeup, alongside images of her injuries with the caption, "What they see vs. what they don't see..." Fellow artist Gloria Gaynor offered support in the comments, calling Scherzinger "a warrior."

Despite the painful burns and blisters on her leg from the spilled boiling water, Scherzinger demonstrated her commitment to performing, with the tour continuing as planned.

She has rejoined bandmates Ashley Roberts, 45, and Kimberly Wyatt, 44, for the UK and Ireland leg of their PCD Forever tour. During a recent gig in Dublin, Scherzinger appeared unfazed, sharing a pint of Guinness onstage with Roberts and Wyatt between songs.

Scherzinger had previously shared a picture of her injuries the day after the accident, emphasizing her determination that "the show must go on."

The NHS recommends immediate first aid for burns, including cooling the affected area under cool running water for 20 minutes and removing any constricting clothing or jewelry. Scherzinger's commitment meant that the injury did not impede her typical energetic performance, complete with the band's signature sequined costumes.

The Pussycat Dolls announced their comeback in March.

"Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set – but the show must go on," Scherzinger stated following the incident. "Thanks Dusseldorf for keeping me going. See you soon Amsterdam."

The Pussycat Dolls announced their reunion in March, releasing their first new single in six years, "Club Song," which was produced and co-written by Mike Sabath. However, the group was forced to cancel the U.S. leg of their comeback tour last month due to low ticket sales.
