Nicole Kidman's Daughter Sunday Rose Makes Vogue Cover Debut
The 18-year-old model acknowledges her privileged opportunities while aspiring to a career in filmmaking.
Sunday Rose Kidman-Urban, daughter of actress Nicole Kidman and singer Keith Urban, has landed her first solo Vogue cover for the November issue of German Vogue. The 18-year-old, who began modeling two years ago, is featured wearing Louis Vuitton.
Urban, who is still a high school student, shared that she had to wait until she was 16 to enter the modeling world, a stipulation set by her mother. "Ever since I was 14 and had just figured out what it was, I kept nagging my mom about it," Urban told the publication.
Her modeling career began with a runway debut at the Miu Miu spring/summer 2025 show. Since then, she has walked for brands such as Dior and Calvin Klein. "I remember arriving there and thinking I knew so much about modeling, but in reality, I knew nothing at all," she recalled.
Urban has also accompanied her mother to high-profile events, including the 2026 Met Gala. "I’m constantly stealing things from her wardrobe! She’s always been very generous with her clothes, for which I’m very grateful, because half my wardrobe now consists of her things," Urban said of her mother.
Despite her burgeoning modeling career, Urban's ultimate ambition is to follow in her mother's footsteps and pursue filmmaking. She expressed a fascination with the production side of the industry, often observing the preview monitor on film sets. "When my sister or my friends were [on the film set], they tended to sit around [...], while I always stared at the preview monitor because I was so fascinated by the work," she explained.
Acknowledging her privileged position as the daughter of famous parents, Urban stated, "I’m very aware that I’m given opportunities that not everyone can have, and I’m truly grateful to be able to take advantage of them." She emphasized her commitment to professionalism, adding, "When I’m at work, I make sure to always give my best, never come to work with a negative attitude, no matter how tired or jet-lagged I may be, and treat everyone with respect."
