This weekend brings a slate of new and returning series for streaming audiences, including the fourth season of HBO's "The Gilded Age," the second season of Paramount+'s "Dexter: Resurrection," and the debut of the Apple TV+ thriller "Nocturne."

"The Gilded Age," created by Julian Fellowes, returns to HBO Max on Sunday, November 1. The new season is set to explore the "President Grover Cleveland Wars" as the former president prepares to visit New York. The Russell family, led by George and Bertha (Morgan Spector and Carrie Coon), navigates their social standing, particularly after Bertha's daughter's marriage to a Duke. Meanwhile, Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) prepares to host the Commander in Chief, highlighting the season's focus on social protocols and political maneuvering.

Paramount+ is releasing the second season of "Dexter: Resurrection" on Friday, October 30. The series continues to follow Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) and his son Harrison (Jack Alcott) as they both engage in the "family business" of eliminating killers. This season introduces Brian Cox and Dan Stevens as new antagonists, adding to the Morgan's complex lives. New episodes will be available weekly.

Apple TV+ will premiere "Nocturne" on Friday, October 30. The crime series stars Liev Schreiber as Johan Lynn, a former Philadelphia homicide detective who moves to a small town seeking tranquility but instead finds himself investigating a serial killer. Based on Lars Kepler's "Lazarus" books, the show also features Zazie Beetz and Stephen Graham. The series will release its first two episodes on Friday, with subsequent episodes dropping weekly.

Beyond these highlighted releases, a variety of other content is becoming available across streaming platforms. Netflix is adding films and series including "Balaraw: Blood Island," "You, Me, Us," "Collision Course," and "SCTV: The Greatest Show You’ve Never Heard Of."
