The streaming giant is set to release a diverse lineup of new and returning shows, including 'The Diplomat' Season 4 and the original drama 'East of Eden'.
Netflix is preparing a robust lineup of new and returning series for October 2026, featuring a mix of original dramas, suspense thrillers, and returning fan favorites. The month's slate aims to cater to a wide range of viewers with highly anticipated continuations and fresh, exclusive content.
Among the notable returns is Season 4 of the political thriller The Diplomat, starring Keri Russell as U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom Kate Wyler. The upcoming season is expected to explore further professional and personal challenges as U.S.-UK relations become strained, while Kate's marriage faces its own difficulties. Another returning series is the romantic comedy Nobody Wants This, which will debut its third season. The show follows Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) as they navigate their relationship and the life changes of their friends and family.
Original series premiering in October include East of Eden, a limited drama based on John Steinbeck's novel. Set in early 20th-century California, the series delves into the complex dynamics of the Trask family, with a focus on the manipulative Cathy Ames, portrayed by Florence Pugh. Also new to the platform is Below, a suspense thriller miniseries starring Josh Hartnett as a fisherman in Newfoundland battling a mysterious sea creature. The series explores themes of personal trauma and community survival.
The animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will launch its second season, set in the universe of the video game Cyberpunk 2077. This new season focuses on a group of mercenaries in Night City. For younger audiences and fans of Nickelodeon, Hollywood Arts, a spin-off of Victorious, will premiere, following Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) as she takes on a teaching role at her alma mater.
The docuseries TYSON will offer a comprehensive look at the life and career of former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson across four parts. Lupin, the French mystery thriller, returns for Part 4, with Assane Diop (Omar Sy) attempting to leave his criminal past behind, only to be drawn back in by a copycat.
Other notable releases include the second season of the animated supernatural sitcom Haunted Hotel, which follows a family managing a haunted establishment, and Minimum Wage, a mockumentary-style comedy about teenagers working at a pizzeria.
Additionally, the romantic comedy-drama anime The Ramparts of Ice will release its second season, continuing the story of high schooler Koyuki Hikawa as she navigates complex relationships and coming-of-age challenges.
