Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for the second series of "The Gentlemen," the popular comedy drama that became a significant hit for the platform in 2024. The new season is set to launch on September 3.

The trailer offers a first glimpse of filming locations around Lake Maggiore and marks the acting debut of television presenter Maya Jama. Jama appears briefly in the trailer as the glamorous wife of one of Theo James's associates, delivering the line, "I do very well" in response to James's character asking, "How do you do?"

"It's cominggggggg, gassed seeing my little head in the trailer," Jama shared on Instagram.

Series Continuation

The new season picks up one year after Eddie Halstead, portrayed by Theo James, and Susie Glass, played by Kaya Scodelario, began collaborating within Bobby Glass's criminal empire. As their operations expand, Bobby's decisions are depicted as increasingly unstable, forcing Eddie and Susie to consider their next moves to avoid losing everything.

"Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well," according to the show's synopsis. The trailer concludes with Eddie stating, "I have a clear idea of what I want these days... Everything."

New and Returning Cast

Returning cast members for the second series include Vinnie Jones, Daniel Ings, Ruby Sear, and Joely Richardson. Theo James reprises his role as aristocrat Eddie Halstead, whose estate becomes a center of criminal activity following the revelation of a secret kept by his father.

"We've been trying to build on what we did in the first season but make the world bigger, darker," James told The Times. "It's still comedic, hopefully, but I think it's a little richer in terms of the story."

Joining the cast for the new season is Hugh Bonneville, known for his role as Robert Crawley in "Downton Abbey." His character, Lord Hawthorne, is described as playing a pivotal role in the second outing, with his distinctive appearance including gray hair and thick black glasses.

Michele Morrone also joins the cast as Cico Maldini.
