Neighbors star Scarlet Vas has clarified that her husband, Tayo Ricci, is not her stepbrother, correcting claims that have circulated following the couple's announcement of their second pregnancy. The couple, who previously shared interviews and video skits suggesting a step-sibling relationship, stated the claim is false in a recent Instagram clip.

"I am so sorry to admit this, but we are not stepsiblings. I honestly have no idea where this even originated from," Vas, 31, said, as reported by TMZ.

Ricci, 29, humorously added, "Well, we did do that one skit," before a clip played of them kissing in a skit where they pretended to be step-siblings. "That explains it."

Vas further explained that their parents have never dated and have been in long-term relationships independently for over 20 years. "Tayo's parents have been together for 40 years and my parents over 20 years," she stated.

The couple has formally requested that media outlets cease reporting them as step-siblings who are expecting another child. "And we are not stepsiblings," Ricci emphasized.

The clarification comes shortly after Vas announced her second pregnancy with Ricci. The couple shared the news on Instagram last Wednesday, with Vas displaying her baby bump. They are expecting their second child three years after their 2023 wedding.

Vas and Ricci, who met as teenagers in Melbourne, revealed their baby news via an Instagram post featuring their 19-month-old daughter, Silva, and ultrasound images. The caption read, "We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…"

They were married on the Greek island of Mykonos. Vas recounted to news.com.au that strong winds during the ceremony caused her layered wedding dress to split open, revealing her underwear and leading guests to believe she was naked, though she stated the dress was not sheer.

In September, the couple announced their first pregnancy with a video documenting a positive test and showing ultrasound scans and their baby's heartbeat. They later revealed they were expecting a girl, captioning the announcement: "Baby Ricci. Our Christmas Miracle."

Vas is recognized for her role as policewoman Mishti Sharma on the Australian soap opera Neighbors from 2017 to 2018. She has since transitioned to a career as an OnlyFans model, reportedly earning significant income through the platform, often with Ricci's involvement in their content.
