Naomi Watts Stars in Cinematic Short Film for Gin Launch

Naomi Watts has appeared in a new cinematic short film celebrating the launch of SEVENTY ONE Eau de Minuit gin. The 58-year-old actress was featured in the campaign directed by renowned fashion photographer Mert Alas.

In the visuals, Watts is seen posing on a chaise longue, accentuating her legs with sheer tights and black patent heels. She wears a black bodysuit and gazes into the camera while holding a glass of the gin. Another black and white photograph shows her in a patent coat, also holding a glass of the spirit.

The gin, created by the British prestige spirits house founded by Mert Alas and Tasso Ferreira, is described as having notes of dark fruit, leather, tobacco, hazelnut, cacao, and toasted oak. It was developed over five years, with Alas stating his goal was to discover if a moment could transform the spirit without altering its essence.

Watts was joined in the campaign by Russian supermodel Natasha Poly, as well as other muses of Alas, including Tziporah Salamon, Scott Barnhill, Sacha Bilal, Charlie Knepper, and Myles Crosby. The short film is described as an ode to mystery, beauty, and the seductive possibilities of the night.

This campaign follows Watts' recent appearance at the Zurich Film Festival, where she received the Golden Eye Award for her film "The Housewife." She was honored for her performance in the film, directed by Ben Shirinian, in which she plays Hermine Ryan, a homemaker with a hidden past as a Nazi concentration camp guard.
