Naomi Watts Honored with Golden Eye Award at Zurich Film Festival

Naomi Watts was recognized for her outstanding performance in the film "The Housewife" at the Zurich Film Festival on Saturday, where she was presented with the Golden Eye Award. The 57-year-old actress graced the green carpet in an elegant white lace co-ord ensemble, complemented by black pointed heels and striking earrings.

Christian Jungen, CEO of the Zurich Film Festival, praised Watts' career, stating, "Since her breakthrough in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive, Naomi Watts has been one of the most fascinating actresses of our time." He further noted, "Her greatest performances thrive on the tension between glamour and darkness, between what a character reveals and what she conceals – making her the kind of character actress Hitchcock would have loved."

In "The Housewife," Watts portrays Hermine Ryan, a seemingly ordinary homemaker from Queens with a hidden past as a former Nazi concentration camp guard. The film delves into the consequences of her wartime actions as she attempts to evade her history.

Watts' appearance at the festival followed a stylish outing the previous day in Milan, where she attended a Gucci-hosted dinner in a satin suit. Her recent public appearances have also highlighted her daughter Kai Schreiber's burgeoning career.

Kai Schreiber recently received the award for Breakthrough Model of the Year at The Daily Front Row's Fashion Media Awards. The 17-year-old, whom Watts shares with former partner Liev Schreiber, made history as the first transgender girl to win the award. During her acceptance speech, Kai expressed gratitude for her "fashion family" and acknowledged the support of her mother and family.

Naomi Watts, who was previously in a relationship with Liev Schreiber from 2005 to 2016, also has a 19-year-old son, Sasha Schreiber.
