Myleene Klass Faces Fan Backlash Over Hear'Say Reunion Snub

Myleene Klass has faced criticism from fans who believe she has made a mistake by not joining the Hear'Say reunion tour, which has seen unexpected popularity.

Klass, who has three children, stated on the television program 'Loose Women' that she is "super busy" and cannot commit to the two-week tour, which also features Liberty X. "My bandmates were really sweet, and they did include me in the discussions. But it's not something I can commit to at the moment," she explained. "I just really can't. I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it. But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys."

This statement prompted a strong reaction on social media, with some fans interpreting her comments as suggesting the tour is "beneath her" and urging her to remember her roots. "Her comments on Loose Women didn't come across well that's she too busy," one user wrote. "Comes across like it's beneath her tbh!" Another commenter stated, "Treacherous move by Myleene Klass IMHO. Think someone forgetting where they started. Never forget your roots."

Despite her current stance, Klass expressed fondness for her time with Hear'Say, stating, "I love the guys dearly. It was an incredibly important time in my life. It taught me so much." She also mentioned that she has not entirely ruled out future involvement with the band, saying, "I would say never say never about anything." Klass added that she intends to be in the audience for the reunion shows, though she humorously questioned if she would remember all the lyrics.

The Hear'Say reunion tour includes four original members: Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, and Noel Sullivan. Liberty X is also participating with its complete original lineup: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Tony Lundon, Kevin Simm, and Kelli Young.

Hear'Say, formed in 2000-01 through the ITV talent show 'Popstars,' achieved significant success with their debut single "Pure and Simple," which topped the UK charts. The group disbanded in 2002, shortly after Kym Marsh's departure.

Liberty X, also formed from 'Popstars,' gained international fame with their hit single "Just A Little." They split in 2007, reuniting briefly in 2013 for the ITV show 'The Big Reunion.'

Kelli Young of Liberty X told The Sun that the idea for the joint reunion tour originated with bandmates Jessica Taylor and Michelle Heaton. Kym Marsh acknowledged the physical challenges of recreating their former routines, noting, "I'm a 50-year-old grandmother, so for me to be doing those kinds of dance routines that we used to do... They may not be as energetic as they used to be, but there will be a nod to it, for sure."

Hear'Say were formed on the same talent show as Liberty X, but split in 2002. Four of its original members are taking part in the tour (pictured Danny Foster, Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh and Myleene.
