Myleene Klass Declines Hear'Say Reunion Due to Busy Schedule

Myleene Klass has announced she cannot commit to a potential Hear'Say reunion for the band's 25th anniversary, stating she is "just super busy." The band, formed on the 2001 television talent show Popstars, recently teased reunion plans through a mock-up of their group chat, sparking excitement among fans.

While bandmates Noel Sullivan, Suzanne Shaw, Kym Marsh, and Danny Foster are reportedly keen to celebrate the milestone with a tour, Klass, 48, explained her current schedule prevents her from participating. She shared on the TV program Loose Women that her former bandmates were "really sweet" and included her in discussions, but "it's not something I can commit to at the moment."

"I just really can't," Klass stated. "I know that they're still figuring out a lot of the moving parts of it... But for me, I'm just super busy. I'm committed to you guys."

Despite her current inability to join, Klass expressed fond memories of her time in Hear'Say. She emphasized that she still loves her bandmates dearly and considers the period an "incredibly important time in my life" that taught her a great deal. She did not entirely rule out future involvement, humorously adding that she would be in the front row if a reunion occurs, though she questioned if she would remember all the lyrics.

Klass reiterated that, as far as she is aware, nothing is concrete yet regarding the reunion plans. She acknowledged that it is difficult to commit to something so uncertain while the details are still being worked out by the group. She did, however, appreciate being included in their considerations.

Fans had speculated about a reunion when the band revived their Instagram page, sharing a screen recording of a WhatsApp conversation. In the chat, Danny Foster remarked on the positive response to a previous tour clip, to which Suzanne Shaw responded with nostalgia for the 25-year milestone. Noel Sullivan then proposed, "Fancy getting the band back together?" with Kym Marsh asking for more details.

Myleene Klass was visible as a member of the chat in the shared image but did not send a message, and her Instagram account was not tagged. The post coincided with the 24th anniversary of Hear'Say's announcement that they were disbanding, just one year after their formation.

Hear'Say enjoyed significant popularity despite their short career, with their debut single "Pure and Simple" reaching No. 1 in the UK and setting a record for first-week sales for a debut single at the time. The group was one of the earliest major UK pop groups formed through television, selected from thousands of applicants.

Plans for a 20th-anniversary reunion were previously postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and personal issues, ultimately leading to their cancellation. Kym Marsh left the group in January 2002 and was replaced by Johnny Shentall. The subsequent single, "Lovin' Is Easy," did not replicate the success of their earlier material.
