Mumford & Sons recently concluded a three-night residency at New York's Madison Square Garden as part of their 'Prizefighter Tour,' showcasing a more expansive and rock-driven production. The performances, which ran from August 11-13, highlighted the band's evolution and deep connection with their music and audience.
Lead singer Marcus Mumford's engagement with the New York crowd was evident, notably on the final night when he wore and celebrated New York Knicks jerseys, a nod to the band's years spent living and working in the city. Exclusive merchandise designed to resemble Knicks gear was also available, further cementing the local ties.
The band opened their set with "Run Together," an anthemic song that resonated with the thousands gathered. Other early performances included energetic renditions of "Little Lion Man" and the enduringly powerful "White Blank Page." The setlist navigated a spectrum of emotions, from anger and heartbreak to joy and hope, a hallmark of the band's live shows.
A signature element of Mumford & Sons concerts, Marcus Mumford's "Ditmas" run through the crowd, once again generated palpable excitement, bringing the artist into direct contact with fans.
The concerts also featured intimate moments, including a shift to a second stage on the arena floor. During these stripped-back performances, the band delivered a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer" with violinist Rob Moose on the second night, and a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's "I'm on Fire" on the third. The latter night also included a guest appearance by 24-year-old singer Stella Lefty, who performed her song "Boston" with the band.
New material from their latest album, "Prizefighter," released on February 20, 2026, was also integrated into the shows. Tracks like "The Banjo Song" and "Here" provided energetic highlights, underscoring the album's strength.
The 'Prizefighter Tour' setlist from the August 13th show at MSG included "Run Together," "Little Lion Man," "Rubber Band Man," "White Blank Page," "Awake My Soul," "Lover of the Light," "Hopeless Wanderer," "Alleycat," "Prizefighter," "Begin Again," "Believe," "Truth," "Ditmas," "The Cave," "Boston" (with Stella Lefty), "Here" (with Stella Lefty), "The Wolf," "Clover," "I'm on Fire" (Bruce Springsteen cover), "Badlands," "Conversation With My Son (Gangsters & Angels)," "The Banjo Song," and "I Will Wait."
Mumford & Sons' sixth studio album, "Prizefighter," features 14 tracks, including collaborations with Chris Stapleton on "Here" and Hozier on "Rubber Band Man." Other noted songs from the album include "The Banjo Song," "Alleycat," "Prizefighter," and "Icarus" featuring Gigi Perez.

They are also slated to perform at the Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville, Kentucky (September 24-27) and the Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland (September 25-27), with other artists like Foo Fighters and Twenty One Pilots headlining those events.
