Andrea Price has taken extraordinary steps to ensure her daughter Sophie, who suffered severe injuries in a car crash at 18, can still experience a full life, including finding love. Doctors had initially advised Price to prepare for her daughter's funeral after the catastrophic accident that caused a stroke, left Sophie paralyzed on her left side, and resulted in severe brain swelling.

Sophie's recovery has been a long and arduous journey. Initially in a wheelchair, she had to relearn how to walk, speak, and even eat. The accident also strained her social life, with friends drifting away and a previous relationship ending three months after the crash, leaving the now 20-year-old feeling isolated.

Seeing Sophie's struggles, Price dedicated herself to helping her daughter regain independence and connect with others. This included assisting Sophie in writing flirty text messages and, in some instances, accompanying her on dates. "I sat for hours thinking about how I could help Sophie regain some of her independence," Andrea stated.

As Sophie's relationship with her boyfriend, Josh, grew more serious, they navigated the practicalities of building an adult relationship while Sophie still lived at home. The couple has since welcomed their daughter, Ruby, two months ago, marking a significant new chapter for the young family.

Price's commitment to her daughter's well-being and happiness underscores the profound impact parental support can have, especially in the face of life-altering challenges.
