Miranda Kerr Declines Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Return
The Australian supermodel cited a desire to cherish past experiences for her decision to not participate in the show's revival.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show recently returned to the runway, featuring models such as Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, and Alessandra Ambrosio. However, Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr was notably absent.
Hours before the event, Kerr, 43, announced on Instagram that she had declined an invitation to appear in this year's show. "20 years since my first Victoria's Secret show. Looking back with so much gratitude for the friendships, the magical memories and for everyone who made that chapter of my life so special," Kerr wrote alongside a collection of her past photos as a VS Angel.
She continued, "It meant so much to be invited to return this year, especially as it marks 20 years since my first show…. but I ultimately felt in my heart it was right to cherish this chapter as it was." Kerr concluded her message by sending "so much love and light to everyone in this year's show!"
Her announcement drew supportive comments from fans and fellow celebrities, including Victoria's Secret model Elsa Hosk, who was part of the current show. The official Victoria's Secret Instagram account also commented, stating, "Always an Angel to us."
Following her announcement, Kerr shared footage from the runway show on her social media and posted a video of herself walking in her home in a silk robe and heels, jokingly captioning it, "Now on my way to put my kids to bed."
Kerr's last runway appearance was at Paris Fashion Week for the Stella McCartney 2027 womenswear show. Earlier in the year, she had shared details about her health and wellness routine, including her morning habit of drinking noni juice, which she has consumed since she was 13. She also mentioned starting her day with marshmallow leaf tea for its digestive benefits.
