Mike Flanagan's 'Carrie' Series Premieres Oct. 7 on Prime Video

Mike Flanagan's new television series adaptation of Stephen King's novel "Carrie" is set to premiere on Prime Video on Wednesday, October 7, at 3:00 a.m. ET. The series, which consists of eight episodes, will be available in its entirety on the streaming platform.

This reinvention of the classic tale aims to bring new depth and complexity to its characters, exploring the factors that shape Carrie White, portrayed by Summer H. Howell, as she navigates contemporary challenges. The cast also includes Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White, Siena Agudong as Sue Snell, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Joel Oulette as Tommy Ross, Josie Totah as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, and Matthew Lillard as Principal Grayle. The series also features guest stars such as Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint, Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Tim Bagley, and Heather Graham.

"Carrie" currently holds an 85% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Prime Video is offering a 30-day free trial for new subscribers, which includes access to the Prime Video streaming service, along with other Prime benefits like free two-day shipping and exclusive deals. After the trial period, Amazon Prime is available for $14.99 per month or $139 per year. A discounted membership, "Prime for Young Adults," is available for individuals aged 18 to 24, offering a 50% monthly discount after an initial six-month free trial.

The original 1976 film adaptation of "Carrie," directed by Brian De Palma and starring Sissy Spacek, is also available for streaming on Prime Video and HBO Max.
