Mia Goth Files for Divorce from Shia LaBeouf
The actor cited irreconcilable differences and requested primary custody of their daughter.
Mia Goth has filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Shia LaBeouf, according to multiple reports.
Goth filed court documents on Tuesday, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. She stated that she and LaBeouf have been separated since July 28, 2025.
She is seeking primary legal and physical custody of their 4-year-old daughter, Isabel, and has requested that the court terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party.
A source close to the couple told People in February that their relationship “has always been complicated,” noting that they experienced a particularly difficult period in 2025. The source added that Goth encouraged LaBeouf to move out, describing her as independent and not needing him, despite loving him.
The couple’s relationship has been characterized by its on-and-off nature since they first met in 2012 on the set of “Nymphomaniac: Vol. II.” They reportedly married in 2016.
They announced a split in 2018, and LaBeouf subsequently dated singer FKA Twigs in 2019. He appeared to reconcile with Goth in 2020, only to date Margaret Qualley later that year. The pair reunited again in 2021, welcoming their daughter a year later.
Goth’s divorce filing comes shortly after LaBeouf settled a lawsuit with FKA Twigs for the second time. The singer had sued LaBeouf for alleged physical and emotional abuse during their relationship. However, FKA Twigs filed a request in Los Angeles Superior Court to dismiss her case against the actor with prejudice, meaning it cannot be refiled.
