Meghan Markle to Co-Host Junior MasterChef Australia

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is set to co-host an upcoming season of Junior MasterChef Australia, it has been announced. Her participation in the program will mark a return to Australia, where she and Prince Harry previously completed a four-day tour in April.

The duchess's involvement in the show was revealed on the second day of their Australian tour. At the time, she had been absent from public engagements, with it later being disclosed that she had been filming for the program. It is understood that she will not be paid for her appearance.

"I love cooking with my own kids, so seeing what these young stars create in the kitchen is going to be a lot of fun," Meghan stated. Network 10, the Australian broadcaster for Junior MasterChef Australia, has not yet responded to inquiries regarding payment for her role.

The Sussexes relocated from California to the UK in August. They had initially departed the UK and stepped down from their royal duties in early 2020 before settling in California later that year. Following their departure from royal life, they pursued various media ventures, including a widely publicized interview with Oprah Winfrey and professional agreements with Netflix and Spotify.

Meghan's previous culinary-related project, the Netflix series "With Love, Meghan," which explored lifestyle and cookery, ran for two seasons and a Christmas special but did not achieve significant audience success. Her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which included a food product line, concluded a partnership with a streaming platform in March. Last year, her trademark was registered in Australia across more than a dozen product categories, encompassing items such as cookware and table linen.
