Meghan Markle Reportedly Tapped to Host Junior MasterChef Australia

Meghan Markle is reportedly slated to host the upcoming season of Junior MasterChef Australia, with filming expected to take place in Melbourne. The children's cooking competition is understood to be returning to Channel Ten in 2027, six years after its last broadcast.

A source close to the production indicated that the Duchess of Sussex would play a key hosting role. The series is anticipated to film in Melbourne over several weeks in early to mid-2027. It is also understood that Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, could join Markle in Australia during the production, though no definitive plans have been confirmed.

Markle previously made a surprise guest appearance on MasterChef Australia in April. During a visit to Australia with Prince Harry, she filmed a segment at Melbourne Showgrounds. Viewers described her demeanor during the appearance as warm, down-to-earth, and genuinely nice.

The news of Markle's potential television role comes amid reports concerning her father, Thomas Markle Sr. Philippine authorities are reportedly investigating allegations of child abuse material discovered at a property linked to him, with the FBI reportedly contacted regarding the matter. Meghan Markle stated in a release that she was first made aware of disturbing allegations against her father by the Met Police in 2018, the same year she ceased contact with him. She expressed being deeply distressed by the news and emphasized that her decision to distance herself from her father and prevent him from meeting their children was for their protection.
