Meghan Markle Reportedly Set to Host Junior MasterChef Australia Season

Meghan Markle is reportedly returning to Australia to take on a starring role in the upcoming season of Junior MasterChef Australia. The Duchess of Sussex is expected to spend several weeks in Melbourne in early to mid-2027 filming the children's cooking competition, which is set to return to Channel Ten after a six-year hiatus.

A source close to the production indicated that Markle will play a key hosting role, potentially alongside MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow. This television gig could involve a temporary relocation to Victoria for the duration of filming.

There is also a possibility that Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, could join Markle in Australia during the production period, though no definitive plans have been confirmed. The couple has previously expressed a desire for an international lifestyle and flexibility regarding their living arrangements.

Markle's potential casting comes after a guest appearance on the flagship MasterChef Australia series earlier in 2027, during a visit to Australia with Prince Harry. Her appearance was reportedly well-received, with viewers describing her as graceful and down-to-earth.

Meanwhile, the Duchess's father, Thomas Markle Sr., is reportedly facing an investigation in the Philippines concerning allegations of child abuse material found at a property linked to him. Philippine authorities have allegedly been contacted by the FBI regarding this matter. Meghan Markle released a statement expressing deep distress over the news, noting that she was made aware of troubling allegations against her father by the Met Police in 2018, the same year she ceased contact with him. She stated that her decision to maintain distance and not allow him contact with her children was to protect them, and she hopes for justice and the protection of innocent children.

The children's cooking competition is understood to be returning to Channel Ten in 2027, six years after it last aired

Thomas Markle Sr. has denied the accusations, calling them lies fabricated by his son. He is currently receiving treatment in a rehabilitation center in the U.S. after undergoing a left leg amputation.
