Meghan Markle is reportedly in discussions for a role in Season 3 of Guy Ritchie's Netflix series "The Gentlemen," according to reports. This potential acting venture comes as the Duchess of Sussex and her husband, Prince Harry, prepare for an extended return to the United Kingdom.

Markle is being considered for an undisclosed role in the action-comedy series, which premiered on Netflix in March 2024 and stars Theo James. The show's second season is slated for release on September 3, and Netflix has confirmed that a third season has been greenlit.

News of this potential casting follows a report from Australian outlet News.com.au that Markle had been "offered a role in an upcoming project based in the UK." A source close to the situation indicated to Page Six that while "inquiries in the entertainment space recently" have been made and Markle is considering her options, "nothing is confirmed right now."

Markle, best known for her role as Rachel Zane on the legal drama "Suits," which she starred in for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018, has not acted since leaving the series. Prior to her engagement to Prince Harry in 2017, she also appeared in films such as "Remember Me" and "Horrible Bosses."

This is not the first time Markle has been linked to a return to acting. In November 2025, she was reportedly set to play herself in the film "Close Personal Friends," which also features actors Brie Larson, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, and Henry Golding. A source from Amazon MGM Studios, the production company for the film, described it as a way for Markle to "gently put her toe back in the water and seeing how she enjoys being back on set."

In April, a former "Suits" co-star, Patrick Adams, mentioned that Markle was considering a return to the screen. A senior casting agent in Los Angeles at the time told Page Six that Markle had received numerous offers from studios and production companies, describing the interest as unprecedented in their three decades in the industry.

The Duchess of Sussex's potential acting comeback coincides with the news that she and Prince Harry will return to the UK for an "extended period" by the end of the month. Their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are also expected to be enrolled in a school in Britain. A source told Page Six that King Charles III was informed of the couple's impending return on Sunday, with another insider suggesting the King is the reason for their move back to the UK.
