Meghan Markle Hints at Pet Product Launch with Dog Toy in New Video

Meghan Markle may be on the verge of releasing a new product for pets, according to speculation sparked by a recent online video. The clip, promoting her new As Ever Christmas advent calendar, showed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's black Labrador, Pula, interacting with a plush toy designed to resemble a jar of raspberry jam.

This appearance of a pet-oriented item aligns with Markle's known interest in entering the pet accessories market through her lifestyle brand, formerly known as American Riviera Orchard. An early trademark application for the brand listed an extensive array of 115 potential products, including items for household pets such as leashes, collars, and beds.

Markle's lifestyle brand soft-launched in 2024 with PR gifts sent to friends. Among these was a hamper for professional polo player Nacho Figueras, which included a jar of dog biscuits for his Italian Greyhound. Additionally, Markle shared a recipe for homemade peanut butter dog treats on her Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan."

The recent video also highlighted other aspects of Markle's lifestyle ventures. She showcased new jewelry valued at approximately $100,000, including a diamond bracelet named after Princess Diana, in promotional photos for her limited-edition advent calendar. This advent calendar, a collaboration between As Ever and Compartés, features 24 handcrafted chocolates and is priced at $148 (£112).

The As Ever advent calendar's design was inspired by Markle's Montecito home and garden. The product is available for pre-order in the US, with deliveries expected to begin early next month. Links to the clothing and jewelry Markle wore in the promotional photos were also shared via her OneOff fashion page, an AI-powered business in which she is an investor and earns a commission on sales.
