Megan Pickford, wife of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, has been enjoying a shopping spree in New York while her husband participates in the World Cup. Following England's 0-0 draw against Ghana, Pickford, 30, and mother of three, took to Instagram Stories to document her activities.

During her trip to the Big Apple, she purchased a Louis Vuitton wallet with a football pitch design for her husband, costing £455. She captioned the post, "Bought husband a special World Cup wallet." Pickford also shared photos of corn dogs she bought for her children: Arlo, seven, Ostara, three, and Misty, 14 months. She offered a glimpse of the family's hotel suite, drawing a comparison to "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody."

Pickford's trip was not without its challenges. Her luggage was lost by the airline for over a week, causing delays in her ability to wear planned outfits for the matches. She documented the ordeal, which she hashtagged "#suitcasegate," on social media. The suitcase was eventually reunited with her hours before England's match against Ghana, after a lengthy process involving her husband's brother and customs.

England's "WAGs" (wives and girlfriends) have faced other regulations, including strict rules on handbag sizes at the stadium. Non-clear bags are limited to 4.5in by 6.5in, with clear bags not exceeding 12in by 12in, to allow for quick security checks. Pickford complied with these rules, carrying a white Lady Dior bag valued at over £2,500 during a match.

Pickford married goalkeeper Jordan Pickford in June 2022. She has expressed a desire to revive the "WAG era" seen during the 2006 World Cup, stating her goal for the current competition is to return home with her husband and a trophy.
