Maura Higgins Hints at New Romance with Cryptic Social Media Post

Maura Higgins has ignited speculation about a new romance with a cryptic social media post shared on Saturday. The reality television personality, currently participating in the U.S. version of 'Dancing With The Stars' with partner Mark Ballas, posted a photo on her Instagram Stories showing her shadow alongside that of an unidentified man on a pavement.

Higgins accompanied the image with the phrase, "Tink I've got the fanny flutters," a term she popularized during her 2019 appearance on 'Love Island' to express attraction.

This development follows Higgins' revelation earlier this year that she had been celibate for a year, citing trust issues stemming from past relationships. She stated that she had been "cheated on by the majority of my exes" and expressed general distrust in men. Higgins also admitted to checking a man's phone within the first week of dating due to her "serious trust issues."

Her most recent publicly known relationship was with Pete Wicks, who is reportedly now dating Olivia Attwood. Higgins previously alluded to Wicks' infidelity after finding texts to other women on his phone, though sources close to Wicks denied any unfaithfulness.

Higgins' romantic history includes relationships with Curtis Pritchard and Chris Taylor, both from 'Love Island,' and a four-month relationship with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. She was also linked to Joey Essex after being seen sharing a kiss, though they denied a romantic involvement. In March 2024, she ended a ten-month relationship with stuntman Bobby Holland Hanton. More recently, she was reportedly seen sharing a "drunken kiss" with McFly's Danny Jones at a BRIT Awards afterparty.

Rumors also circulated about a potential romance with her 'Traitors US' co-star Rob. When questioned by Andy Cohen on 'Watch What Happens Live,' Higgins coyly responded, "I mean, you'll have to watch the show to see if that happened," regarding fan speculation about her and Rob getting together. Rob appeared as a contestant on 'Love Island US' in 2023 and 2024.
