MasterChef Australia Stars Face Renewed Split Rumors
Social media activity and the absence of an engagement ring fuel speculation about Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary's relationship, though sources suggest the couple is working to maintain privacy.
MasterChef Australia personalities Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary are once again at the center of split rumors, fueled by recent changes in their social media presence and Todd's public appearances. Todd has unfollowed Cleary on Instagram, and she was recently observed without her engagement ring in a video promoting food items in India.
The clip, shared during a trip to promote Kuremal Kulfi treats in Delhi, showed Todd enthusiastically describing ice cream inside fruit while gesturing with her hands, making the absence of her ring noticeable. Cleary was not featured in this video or in Todd's more recent social media posts.
These developments come after similar split rumors circulated last month. At that time, sources told New Idea that the rumors were unfounded, with an insider stating the couple had "definitely not" separated. The source explained that while their lives might appear separate online, they remain together behind closed doors, actively planning their future as a family, including looking for a larger home in Melbourne. They reportedly made a conscious decision to reduce their public sharing of relationship details, with Todd aiming for more privacy and Cleary, who is described as more easygoing, agreeing to a compromise.
Todd and Cleary, who met and fell in love while filming MasterChef: Back to Win in 2024, went public with their relationship in early 2025. They welcomed twin daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, on Christmas Eve. Todd, originally from Queensland, relocated to Melbourne to be with Cleary. She also has a 15-year-old son, Phoenix, from a previous relationship.
Despite the recent speculation, sources maintain that the couple is committed to their family and is looking for a home that can accommodate their daughters and Todd's son. The pair has shared fewer photos together since a European holiday in September 2025, and Todd did not interact with a Father's Day post shared by Cleary, which marked his first since the twins' birth. The insider suggested that their reduced online presence is a mutual decision to keep certain aspects of their lives private rather than an indication of separation.
