MasterChef Australia Couple's Relationship Status Unclear as Star Seen Wearing Engagement Ring After Unfollowing Fiancé
Speculation surrounds Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary's relationship after a period of online distancing and the MasterChef Australia star's changing social media activity.
MasterChef Australia stars Sarah Todd and Declan Cleary have recently been the subject of split rumors, with recent events adding to the mystery surrounding their relationship status.
Todd, 38, has been observed without her engagement ring in recent weeks, but has since been seen wearing the diamond accessory again. In a video shared on Instagram on Wednesday, the ring was visible as Todd prepared a fish burger recipe for her followers. This comes after Todd unfollowed Cleary on social media, a move she has not reversed despite resuming wear of the engagement ring.
Both Todd and Cleary have also refrained from appearing in each other's social media posts for some time. Earlier this month, Todd was seen without the ring in a video promoting Kuremal Kulfi treats during a trip to India, where she gestured with her hands, making the absence of the ring noticeable.
Sources close to the couple have suggested that the rumors of a split are untrue, with one insider telling New Idea that the couple is "very much together" behind closed doors. According to this source, Todd and Cleary are planning their future as a family, looking for a home, and have made a conscious decision to reduce their public sharing of their relationship online. "They have just realised that not every part of their relationship needs to be shared on social media," the source stated.
The pair met while filming MasterChef: Back to Win in 2024 and publicly confirmed their romance in early 2025. Todd relocated from Queensland to Melbourne to be with Cleary. They welcomed twin daughters, Claudia and Charlotte, on Christmas Eve. Todd also has a 15-year-old son from a previous relationship.
