Mariska Hargitay is sharing details from the July wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, describing the event as "magical" and surprisingly intimate.

Hargitay, 62, appeared on Wednesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and spoke about the ceremony, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. She noted that despite an estimated 1,000 guests in attendance, the wedding did not feel overwhelming.

"I'm still floating from that wedding," Hargitay told host Jimmy Kimmel. "It was so spectacular and so intimate, I have to say. I have to say, I am blown away, because when there’s a wedding with that many guests, you think, like, 'Oh, okay, it’s gonna be that.' And it just wasn’t."

She shared that the vows were her favorite part of the celebration. A smaller rehearsal dinner for about 100 close friends and family was reportedly held at the Infosys Theater within Madison Square Garden on July 2.

Hargitay, who attended the wedding with her husband Pete Hermann, also recalled a moment from a June NBA Finals game where Swift, 36, was enthusiastic. "She was throwing me around like a rag doll!" Hargitay said.

When asked if Swift would ever consider playing a deceased character on Law & Order: SVU, Hargitay expressed doubt due to Swift's busy schedule.

The interview comes shortly after Hargitay experienced a wardrobe malfunction on the blue carpet prior to the 78th annual Emmy Awards. Her blazer came undone, creating a plunging neckline, which she humorously addressed.

"It's better that it happens here than at the Emmys," the star said at the time, joking that her "heroic carpet domination" and "Knicks-mode" might have caused the issue. She also noted that getting mishaps out of the way early could be good luck.

Hargitay recently won two awards at the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards for her documentary My Mom Jayne. She received accolades for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Special and Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program. The 2026 Emmy Awards are scheduled to air on September 14.
